2016 Abstract Awards

ECTS New Investigator Awards *

Available to applicants who satisfy the following criteria:

  • The applicant is the presenting author
  • The applicant is a member of ECTS
  • The applicant is within three years of attaining a PhD, or is a physician in training, or is aged under 35 years
  • The applicant must submit a signed confirmation of eligibility form from their Head of Department
  • The applicant must not be a previous ECTS New Investigator Award winner

ECTS Travel Awards

Available to applicants who satisfy the following criteria:

  • The applicant is the presenting author
  • The applicant is a member of ECTS
  • The applicant is within three years of attaining a PhD, or is a physician in training, or is aged under 35 years
  • The applicant must submit a signed confirmation of eligibility form from their Head of Department

ECTS Allied Health Award

Available to applicants who satisfy the following criteria:

  • The applicant is the presenting author
  • The applicant is a member of ECTS
  • The applicant is an allied health professional
  • The applicant must submit a signed confirmation of eligibility form from their Head of Department

ECTS East-Meets-West Research Award

Available to applicants who satisfy the following criteria:

  • The applicant is the presenting author
  • The applicant should be aged under 40 years
  • The applicant is a member of ECTS

NI Poster Tour Awards**

The ECTS New Investigator (NI) committee will organise 6 poster tours that will cover all prominent areas. Established researchers will guide the tours and will select the best poster presentation (science and presentation) for each tour. Six abstracts from New Investigators wil be awarded based on scientific merit. Prizes will be awarded in the NI launch after the last poster tour (Tuesday 17 May) during the lunch break.
